CONNECTION MANAGEMENT
Disconnect
with clarity.
You control when Giving Bridge can continue using a connected account.
This page provides instructions. Visiting it does not disconnect, revoke, or delete anything.
Stop a connection in Giving Bridge.
- 1
Open the private workspace.
Sign in with an authorized workspace account, then choose Connections.
- 2
Choose the provider.
Use the disconnect control on the QuickBooks Online or Planning Center Giving card, then review and confirm the action.
- 3
Confirm the connection has stopped.
The provider should no longer show as connected in Giving Bridge. Usable local connection credentials are removed and automated processing is paused.
Revoke access at the provider.
You can also remove Giving Bridge’s authorization in the connected provider’s account or app-access settings. If you used a Planning Center personal access token, revoke that token in Planning Center when it is no longer needed.
Provider-side revocation and Giving Bridge’s local disconnect are distinct controls. Reconnecting later requires valid authorization again.
What happens to existing records?
Disconnecting does not erase donor or fund mappings, cached directory information, transfer history, or audit records. It also does not delete donations or sales receipts already recorded in Planning Center or QuickBooks.
A request already sent to a provider may still complete. Review any in-progress or uncertain record before making a new manual entry.
Need an export, deletion, or workspace closure?
Email support@givingbridge.net with the organization and the request. We will verify the requester’s authority and explain applicable retention or recordkeeping limits. See our Privacy Policy for the current process.
